Love is Louder Stands Strong with Newtown

Kara Whipkey (pictured above) and other Newtown residents are partnering with the Love is Louder movement so we can all stand together to support their community and spread the message that Love is Louder than violence. We also want to encourage anyone, from Newtown and around the world, struggling emotionally in the wake of this tragedy to speak up and ask for help. Love is louder than the fear that keeps us from reaching out for support.

You can get involved by sending a photo or artwork that shows your support for the Newtown community and raises the volume that Love is Louder than violence…loss…pain….or fear. You can post your contribution on our Facebook page or share it on Twitter, Tumblr or Instagram with the hashtags #loveislouder and #newtown. We will be using your messages of support in a music video to a song being written and performed by artists from Newtown.

You can also sponsor a Love is Louder yard sign that Kara and her friends will distribute to their community this weekend. Your sign will include a personal message from your family. You can also order a sign for your yard — a visual reminder that we are working together to get through this tough time as communities and a country.
